I hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and safe.
We are postponing the Inn’s Annual Dinner (currently set for May 14) to a later time. The current plan/hope is to combine the Annual Dinner with the September kick-off meeting, so please stay tuned for details.
In addition, the Executive Committee is currently exploring ways for the Inn to give back to the community during this crisis, with a focus on Detroit-based organizations that have particularly strong needs. If you have any suggestions in that regard, please let me know.

Michigan IP Inn of Court has been awarded the “Platinum” Achieving Excellence
The Achieving Excellence program recognizes Inns for effective practices in five core competencies: administration, communications, programs, mentoring, and outreach.
This honorable distinction, awarded to only 1 in 4 Inns nationwide, is a testament to our Inn’s leadership for the past 5 years and the diligence of our members. Congratulations! And many thanks to President Bill Abbatt and President-Elect Eric Dobrusin, who fervently advocated on our behalf for this recognition.
The Michigan Intellectual Property Inn is comprised of practicing attorneys, judges, and students. There are four categories of active membership, (1) Masters, (2) Barristers, (3) Associates and (4) Students. Total active membership (i.e., all categories of membership other than Honorary and Emeritus Members) shall be approximately 80-100.

The Michigan Intellectual Property Inn of Court was founded in September 2012 and is a part of the Richard Linn Inn Alliance.

From September through May, the Inn hosts member meetings on various educational topics.
